This episode focuses on the academic struggle of the students to be accepted at the university of their dreams. This week filled with interviews of learners who can then determine whether they can be accepted or not at the university they are heading. After the interview was over, the event continued with an Ivy party, attended by students, parents, teachers, and the most important were some of the invitees who were representatives of the university.
Before the interview started, Blair and Serena had a little 'warm up' in the hockey field. Blair does some cheating that resulted in Serena fall several times. It makes Serena upset and then avenge Blair with a hard collision until they both fall and almost fight physically.
A little review of the interview, Dan Humphrey conducts his interview session well, in order for him to be accepted in Darmouth, the university of his dreams. While Nate, doing the interview halfheartedly, for Darmouth is not at all his purpose if not for his father's coercion. But there is no Archibald that failed. Nate succeeded in becoming a Darmouth candidate, whereas Dan not.
However Dan can have the opportunity to remain present in an Ivy party because of his father's contribution to the entertainment section of the event. Dan also got the opportunity to speak directly with the Darmouth clerk, replacing the failure of Nate in the previous topic of conversation. Meanwhile, Blair did not want to miss the opportunity when knowing Dr. Ostroff comes to the Ivy party as an invited guest. Dr. Ostroff as the founder of the Ostroff Center, where in the last episode Serena was caught by Chuck in and out of the Ostroff Center, rehabilitation for drug addicts and alcoholics.
Eric, who at the time was asked by Serena to accompany her on the Ivy, accidentally acquainted with Jenny Humphrey. And on that occasion, Eric confided that he was undergoing treatment at the Ostroff Center because of the suicide attempts he had done because he felt very lonely and depressed.
Blair retaliation for Serena action on the hockey pitch takes place during the Ivy party. Serena was humiliated by Blair in front of the invited guests, as mentioned by Blair as one of the patients of the Ostroff Center. Inevitably, Serena had to admit it to save the good name of his mother and brother. It makes Serena very devastated.
Dan, who witnessed the inappropriate Blair action to Serena, did not believe it. Then on the information from Jenny that the Serena of saving her brother so as not to be embarrassed in the event, Dan then chase Serena and apologize for his false judgment all the time. And it is enough to make the heart Serena slightly calm.
