Jesse Wallace, a writer was holding a press conference at a bookshop in Paris. The book entitled THIS TIME that he wrote tells the story of himself who met accidentally with a woman on vacation. The brief encounter was very impressive for Jesse, with the main character of a woman who spent one night with her in French. Until finally when they have to split up, they say promise to meet again in Vienna six months later.
When Jesse was answering some questions about his book, he accidentally saw the woman who was the main character in his book, was there, watching him. Jesse could hardly believe that it was true Celine. Until when the press conference session is over, Jesse immediately approached Celine. The mood was awkward for a while until they realized that they should spend the time left before Jesse travels back home. Jesse also took the initiative to invite Celine to chat at a cafe, with a note that he will be picked up by the driver provided to then drive him to the airport.
Jesse and Celine were walking out of the bookstore. Along the way to the cafe they use to chat and many stories. They are very happy to be reunited with each other after so many years. Celine lives in Paris, and she reads Jesse's book, which then takes her to a press conference held at the bookstore, to meet Jesse. Celine declares that she loves the book very much, and is very surprised to find that the author is the true Jesse she knew a few years ago.
Then they talk about Vienna. Apparently after their first meeting in France, Jesse kept his promise to come to Vienna six months later. He waits for Celine there, but Celine does not come. Jesse was disappointed at the time. But Celine really apologizes for not being able to keep her promise because her grandmother passed away at the time. Jesse who did not think it was, tried to understand and forgave Celine who was so sorry for not being able to meet him in Vienna. What appeals to them is because they remember that they do not keep contact numbers with each other at the time, so they can not talk to each other. Jesse also admitted that at that time he tried to leave his contact number in the hotel he occupied during in Vienna, hoping Celine can find it. At that Jesse still hoping that maybe Celine was late. Until finally Jesse had to return to United States because the money he borrowed from his father to go to Vienna is up.
Their conversation then returned to the book he wrote. Somehow that Celine feels the main character of the woman in the book is herself. On the one hand, Celine feels uncomfortable because she knows the view about her from one side of the man who knew her. Celine thinks that Jesse has forgotten her, but he still remembers every second they spent together in France. It made him wait for the moment when he could meet again with celine.
Still while walking towards the cafe, Celine then tells a glance about herself currently working and living in Paris. Until they reached the cafe they continued the chatter that shocked Jesse when he knew that Celine live in United States for three years past. So close with Jesse, but never met. They continue to talk about their experiences and Life. Jesse, mesmerized by Celine. They comment on each other's performances after the last nine years of their meeting. They realize they are slightly changed, but the surprise is that they still recognize each other.
Switch from cafe, Celine and Jesse then walk towards the park. Celine said that she read an article about Jesse who is married. Jesse then tells about his wife and son. Celine also later told me that he was undergoing a good relationship close enough to a photojournalist.
Their journey then continues on the boat for tourists, with Jesse asking his driver to pick him up at the nearest pier.
Jesse, acknowledging that he wrote the book as his search for Celine. Jesse expressed his deep regret that they could not meet in Vienna, because their life might change after the meeting in the Vienna. Jesse reveals that however, Celine is always in his mind. Even at the wedding. Jesse says his marriage is not happy. He just fulfilled his responsibilities because the woman he married had already been pregnant. But Jesse is very fond of his son.
Arriving at the dock, the driver who picked up Jesse was waiting. Jesse decides to ask the driver to drive Celine to her house first before dropping him off at the airport.
The conversation continued in the car. This time Celine expresses her feelings to Jesse. By reading the book he wrote, Celine was aware that the relationship she was currently in with the photojournalist was not based on love, not a relationship that Celine imagined. Celine then frustrated, realizing that all this time she also really wanted to meet Jesse in her life. And now after meeting, they are too late to admit the feelings they have with each other.
Jesse felt the same way. Jesse told me that his marriage was never happy. He survives only for the sake of his son. Honestly Jesse wants to have a better life. Jesse was thinking too much about Celine, even when he was with his wife.
Car stops in front right Celine stay. Jesse came down to deliver Celine to her doorstep. But then, remembering that Celine never dropped again, Jesse then asked to sing one song by Celine. Just one song before he left. Celine also agrees, Jesse invited into her apartment. Then Celine also sang a song selected by Jesse from the three song titles that he mentioned.
And Celine sang the song. The song about her first meeting with Jesse, a man she has never forgotten until now ....
