Last episode, Blair made a surprise by giving everything she had to Chuck, and apparently it became something very memorable for Chuck. But not for Blair. She was sorry and felt ashamed to have done the out of bounds with Chuck. Blair wants Chuck forget it and assume it never happened. It became one of Blair request on her birthday this time.
Meanwhile, Jenny who begins to feel that the relationship of Rufus and her mother began to split, suddenly picked her mother from Hudson to return home. Jenny succeeds. Alison goes home. Rufus and Dan equally shocked by it, but their response is completely different. Rufus could have recieved Alison's return, however Dan openly denounced his rejection of Alison.
Back to the life of Nate Archibald. Before Blair's birthday, Nate's mother increasingly aggressively encourage Nate to propose Blair. Nate, however, still felt it was not the best thing for his life, but he could not refuse. Nate tries to pour out the pressure he has from his family to Chuck. And the unusual things begin to be shown by Chuck. Chuck does not support the request of Nate's mother to propose Blair, but it seems as if pushing Nate to follow his heart and stop dealing with Blair, if that's what Nate want.
Then came Blair's birthday celebration. Serena who of course became an invite at the party, invited and to come to the Blair's party. Dan who, upon accepting an invitation from Serena, was with Vanessa, then tried Vanessa's suggestion so they could go together to Blair's party. Vanessa's goal was to get her familiar with Serena.
Serena was, of course, a bit surprised to find Dan come with Vanessa to Blair's party. Vanessa's attitude at that time did look quite annoying, she positioned herself as the person closest to Dan in front of Serena. And it had time to make Serena disappointed to Dan. However, Serena and Dan managed to correct the misunderstanding. Apparently Vanessa became aware of her position, that this time Dan already belong to Serena. Hence Vanessa begins to be friendly to Serena, and it seems like the closeness between Serena and Vanessa has begun to slowly intertwine.
In the midst of his heart, Nate who had been at Blair's birthday party, still had not decided whether to enter or not to the event, and whether he would give the engagement ring that his mother had prepared for Blair. In the midst of such anxiety, he encounters a Jenny who also doubts whether Blair will accept her arrival to the party. Later, Nate and Jenny finally decided to just take a walk and exchange stories. Nate seems to find other comforts on the figure of Jenny, he then recounted the problems he faced will demands his family to immediately propose Blair. Jenny can understand Nate, and apparently the friendship between Jenny and Nate is also getting closer. But unfortunately, their togetherness is captured by the Gossip Girl.
The news about Nate with other women recorded by Gossip Girl is apparently directly accepted by Blair via cell phone. Blair, who at the time was waiting for the arrival of Nate, became heartbroken. And her disappointment made her then confess to Serena and her friends that she and Nate were breaking up.
As a good friend, Serena try to calm and comfort Blair who was locked herself in the room. But accidentally, Serena see Blair togetherness with Chuck in the room.
Chuck apparently approached the sad Blair, giving a fantastic birthday present. A diamond necklace that has been targeted by Blair. And it managed to melt the heart of Blair to receive Chuck back to be nearby.
