The arrival of Lily from the honeymoon simply wipes out the sadness of Serena that must accept the reality of its relationship with Dan which is over. But Serena can not erase her displeasure with her stepbrother, Chuck, who lays openly to Lily about the end of Serena and such relationship.
Loneliness with the end of her relationship with Dan apparently also felt by Lily who must face the departure of Bart who travel his business for some time. Because of that, Lily came to Rufus to spend time together. At the first meeting between Rufus and Lily after the marriage of Lily and Bart, an awkward atmosphere they managed to overcome by going to watch movies together. But at the second meeting, Lily gets the notion of Rufus that she can not keep Rufus as an escape from her loneliness because Bart is not with her. She had to accept the fact that the man she had married was not always there for her, and Lily was forced to accept the distance between herself and Rufus when she learned that Rufus already had the woman he was dating.
At school, apparently Dan already trying to open his heart by getting acquainted with a new student named Amanda. It shocked Serena and friends. They do not believe that Dan begin his relationship with other women first, without thinking of the feelings of Serena who still feel lost.

See the disenchantment Serena against Dan, Blair trying to find a way to give lessons to Dan and Amanda. Through her friends, Blair puts Amanda in a position that does not make Amanda comfortable in their friendship. All that Blair do to make Amanda understand that she can not just date a man who had been her best friend.
Serena who does not like the act of Blair against Amanda, immediately seek Dan to apologize and explain it in order to avoid misunderstandings between them. To start a good relationship, Serena invites Dan and Amanda to dinner together.
Finally Serena, Dan, and Amanda spent the night together in a place. Of the meeting, Serena felt herself only as a third person between Dan and Amanda.
Realize it, Dan try to talk together with Serena. Serena then expresses her heartache and disappointment towards Dan. Serena admits sad to see Dan with other women, which although Dan and Serena have no relationship whatsoever.

Then came the time when Serena's friends, on Chuck's orders, gave physical lessons to Amanda. That night, they spilled something into Amanda's hair which then made it burning. Amanda also felt sad. Dating with Dan is damaged. Dan then blame Serena for the act, which is actually not knowing anything because it is not she who planned it all.
Dan tried to contact Amanda the next day, but Amanda did not answer his phone at all. Dan thought that maybe Amanda was still angry over the incident last night, but apparently Amanda was meeting with Chuck. You turn out to be one of those Chuck's paid guys to make trouble with Serena to awaken Serena traits that she has soaked up to be a good girl. Chuck has a plan, by making Serena back up, Blair will begin to be marginalized from her friends, which then make Chuck can approach Blair.
Chuck plans succeed. Serena became more respected by her friends in the socialite gang. But apparently Chuck still can not approach Blair perfectly.

After Vanessa's strange behavior that severed her relationship with Nate, Nate tried to chase Vanessa for an explanation. But Vanessa avoided and offended Nate by insisting that they could not come back together. Surrender, finally Nate leave Vanessa.
Catherine secretly saw the incident, came to Vanessa by giving a check containing a lot of money as a thank you for leaving Nate. Vanessa, who has a very high self-esteem, intends to return the check to Catherine by going to her residence. But inadvertently, she found Catherine who covertly carries out Marcus in one of the rooms at her residence. Vanessa also took some photos of The Duchess togetherness with her step son.

Surprised at what she saw at Catherine's residence, Vanessa told the story to Dan to ask for advice. Dan suggested that Vanessa tell it to Blair because Dan believe in such affairs, only Dan can have good actions. Finally, Vanessa carefully delivers the information to Blair, and asks Blair to take care of everything. Feeling sad, hurt, and disappointed at what she knows, Blair soon has a plan to deal with Catherine and Marcus, as well as to save Nate from the grip of Catherine. But on one condition, that Vanessa should not interfere.
While Jenny, shunned her socialite gang friends because of the problems that happened on Jenny's previous birthday.

Agreed with it, Vanessa felt let down by Blair when the next day she saw Blair was having a romantic breakfast with Marcus. Vanessa's disappointment left her in a hurry to solve the problem in her own way, until she went to The Duke at his residence and instantly provided information about the secret relationship between Catherine and Marcus to The Duke.
In fact, not like Vanessa see. Blair and Marcus breakfast is a Blair step to start her actions to silence and release the grip of Marcus and Catherine against Nate. By Blair, Catherine has agreed to leave Nate and provide his financial assistance to relieve Nate's difficulties. Blair immediately informed the good news to Nate. But suddenly the good news should immediately canceled by Blair, because Catherine contacted him about what Vanessa did.
Apparently the way that Vanessa did has spoiled everything, which automatically also makes Nate still have to wrestle the economic difficulties he is experiencing.
Knowing that, Blair of course burst her anger at Vanessa who can not wait and just step in hand. Vanessa seems very sorry to know that the move is just ruining everything.
The next day, Vanessa came to Nate to apologize. But Nate immediately rejected it, as he was disillusioned with Vanessa who believed more to Dan, even Blair, than to himself.
