Very steeped in her rivalry with Serena, Blair had a bad dream has experienced defeat of her friend.
Still colored by the rivalry between Blair and Serena, their preoccupation for university preparation was apparently still not able to end the cold war between them. Blair who dreamed of entering the Yale, scorned Serena who wanted to go to college in Brown, although actually got a special invitation from Yale to enter as a student there. However, accepting the ridicule of Blair, Serena then changes her mind to leave Brown and choose Yale as her university later, to prove to Blair that she can not be arrogant towards Serena because she feels perfect.
Same as Blair and Serena, Dan also choose Yale as the destination. While the real Nate still wants to get into the USC as the university of his choice, forced to go to Yale because of his mother's intimidation. While Chuck is seen showing himself at Yale, not yet have the certainty whether he will also choose Yale or not.
Among the bustle of university selection for final students, Jenny tries to make a deal with ERufus. Jenny ask Rufus to accompany her one day just to work in Eleanor, if Rufus accept it, then Jenny promise that she will follow any suggestion requested by Rufus related education.
Rufus also agreed to Jenny's request, and Rufus saw that Jenny is a very talented in the field of fashion, and Jenny is an important figure for Eleanor in the design office. Because Rufus seems unable to persuade Jenny to leave her job, Rufus then asks Eleanor to fire her so she can go back to school. But of course Eleanor refused Rufus's request.
Finished working, Jenny with still accompanied by Rufus, stop briefly to residence of Lily to convey something. On that occasion, Lily told Rufus that Jenny really has an amazing talent, and Lily assures Rufus that Rufus should be proud to have Jenny.
Over the words of Lily, Rufus then surprise Jenny by allowing her to work in Eleanor Waldorf Design, but must remain in school by choosing homeschooling as an alternative, then sending Jenny in vocational school. Jenny is very happy, and she promises not to disappoint Rufus in this case.
Back to the prospective student enrollment process, Dan was rejected by the Yale dean because Dan did not have enough letters of recommendation to register himself to Yale. Dan was asked to look for someone who could give him the recommendation letter. It is enough to make Dan feel disappointed and desperate, but he knows that he must continue to pursue his dream to be able to study at Yale.
While Chuck, held by some senior students who know that Chuck is a person who has many connections, and especially close to Nate Archibald.
While Nate who easily instantly make friends with a new student, accidentally know that there is a group of students who talk about the subject of himself who will enter the Yale as a child of Archibald family who have a bad impression in the eyes of the student, so Nate then introducing himself as Dan Humphrey to Jordan Steel, his new friend.
But togetherness with Jordan should be disturbed because suddenly Dan go to Jordan to ask for help regarding the recommendation for its registration to Yale. Jordan was then very angry to Nate who had lied to her by claiming to be Dan Humphrey.
While Blair awaits her turn to be interviewed by the Dean at Yale, She feels genuinely surprised that the previous interviewee is Serena who seems to be very successful at making the Dean like her a lot. Feeling nervous about the success of Serena in a previous interview, Blair then destroyed her interview session and left a bad first impression in front of the Dean.
Blair then comes to Serena by expressing her anger because Blair thinks Serena has taken all her rights. Nate, Eleanor's trust, her friends in socialite gangs, and Yale. Blair thinks that all of them have taken away from her. Receive anger of Blair, Serena was increasingly provoked her emotions to further tighten the rivalry between herself and Blair.
Serena then gets a call from the Dean inviting her to dinner at his residence while doing a light presentation on something, while Blair does not get the invitation. Knowing that, Blair bribes the Secretary of the Dean to give her the address of the Dean so that Blair can participate even if not invited.
In the residence of the Dean, Serena wondered about the presence of Blair which then managed to give the impression of awkward and embarrassing Serena in front of the Dean and other invited guests. Because then Blair and Serena fight physically, and they decided to reconcile and not be friends again as before, so there is no need for competition that is done unhealthy. Termination of friendship between Blair and Serena is not desirable by each of them, but they are forced because both are carried away emotion.
The next day, Serena and Blair accidentally pass in front of the Dean's room building. Blair asks what is being done there, as well as Serena who asks Blair about the same thing. Apparently Serena and Blair have the same intention to meet with the Dean and convey that Yale is the biggest dream they have not by themselves. Serena intends to convince the Dean that Blair is the one who deserves to be accepted as a student at Yale, and apparently Blair also intends to be the same as Serena to talk to the Dean.
Knowing that, they become aware that their friendship can not end just because of a stupid competition. Blair and Serena are back together and try to support each other.
This happens when Blair learns that she receives acceptance from the Dean to be a student at Yale, while Blair must wait until registration time in next period. Blair convinces Serena to take the opportunity and not let her go, while Serena also promises Blalir to help her to be accepted also at Yale along with her.
Back to Chucks who again get an assault from the students who have a fine to outhaust the Archibald, asking Chuck to teach Nate lessons. Chuck, as a friend of Nate would want to protect Nate and divert his attacks to Dan by showing to the senior students that Dan is Nate. Consequently Dan get harassment by the students. But lucky, because Nate then find Dan in a state of helpless and help him with then assisted also by Jordan who happened to see the circumstances at the time.
Over the incident, Nate and Dan have a good friendship, and Dan get help from Jordan who will find someone who can give recommendations for him.
At the end of the episode, Chuck is confronted by a group of students about the game Chuck doing by pointing Dan as Nate, showing that he is a man who can not be controlled by anyone.
While Nnate who knows the actions of Chuck against Dan then shows his dislike of Chuck by stating that he prefers to be friends with Dan who is considered a Chuck as a lowly, but it turns out to have good qualities. Therefore Nate then leave Chuck and start making friends with Dan.
