Dan and Vanessa met with Nate in a public place and was introduced by Nate's cousin named Tripp. Nate was invited by Tripp to a family reunion event as well as to introduce his fiancee. But Nate shows his reluctance to come to the family event in view of family issues about his father's recent arrest. Dan and Vanessa then persuaded Nate to come to the family reunion and strengthen Nate not to withdraw.
Eventually Nate came to his family reunion, accompanied by Dan and Vanessa. Unexpectedly, Nate is warmly welcomed by his grandfather who shows his pride to Nate who managed to get through his family's problems well.
After meeting the big family of Nate, Vanessa feel not confident to be Nate's girlfriend because it seems grandfather of Nate too much to regulate the future of Nate's life. But Nate strengthens Vanessa that everything will be fine. Nate also showed seriousness in a relationship with Vanessa by taking her on a vacation together to a romantic place.

While Lily who accidentally knows of asistennta, Bex, that Bex and Rufus had dated, then asked Rufus to be more open about his former romance story. Lily and Rufus also agreed to make a list of names of people who have been close to each of them. But apparently the list owned by Lily is much longer than Rufus owned list, so Lily also hides it to keep the feelings of Rufus. Accidentally, Rufus finds a list of names hidden by Lily, and they engage in a small argument because Rufus thinks Lily is dishonest, but Lily assumes that Rufus is shy about the number of men who have been close to Lily.
But not long after Rufus realizes that he should not be angry with Lily of her past, Rufus soon returns to Lily, apologizes and they again have a warm love affair.

While Chuck who knows of Serena about Blair failure accepted at Yale intends to cheer up Blair by coming to his house and bringing a gift. But how surprised Chuck when knowing Carter was at Blair's residence and it seems they have a fairly intimate relationship. Chuck was jealous and tried to give an impression in the presence of Blair that Carter is a man who is not worth it for her. But because the emotional state of Blair is unstable and feeling desperate for the failure and good reputation that tarnished because of scandal fraud that he did, Blair felt it was already and decided to no longer be a good woman.
Blair also shows mischief and impoliteness to everyone she knows. The closer to Carter, the more Blair becomes an uncontrollable woman. Serena and Chuck were worried about the state of Blair, and they planned something to save Blair.
Serena and Chuck also expel the charter from the city so that Blair can re-arrange life well. But Serena and Chuck concerns do not stop until they know that Blair goes to someone's house in secret. Worried about Blair doing something out of bounds, Chuck and Serena followed where Blair went, and apparently Blair visited the home of the Wheeler dean from Sarah Lawrence University, begged for her to be accepted at the university. But the dean Wheeler refused, and Blair can not hide her sadness and shame in front of Serena and Chuck.

Nate's family then held a party to welcome Tripp wedding that will take place. Blair who became an invite, humiliated herself deliberately in front of guests with bad behavior and disrespectful. Serena and Chuck grew worried to Blair. Chuck tries to help Blair, but Blair refuses. Blair was aloof in the Archibald family's attic. Nate who by chance into the attic also saw Blair who was alone. Then they talk about the childhood they often spend in the house. Blair then expressed the sadness she felt because her life became chaotic. Nate seems to understand the feeling of Blair who is feeling lost in life. Nate who has known Blair very little since then calm Blair with simple words and tell the childhood of Blair full of certainty. Nate then strengthen Blair to not be afraid in life. Nate's words seemed to give her peace, and she took it well.

At a party event, Vanessa knows from Tripp that Nate will take his grandfather's offer to undergo an apprentice program at a government office during this holiday period. Vanessa also expressed her disappointment to Nate because the decision would thwart their holiday plans. But Nate has no choice, because this apprenticeship program will be a very good stepping stone for his future, so he was forced to disappoint Vanessa by canceling their previous vacation plans. Vanessa could not resist the disappointment and immediately left Nate away from the party.
While Serena knows from Blair that Dan had sex with Miss Carr in the costume room when the drama takes place, goes straight to him and bursts her anger. serena feels very angry, but at the same time happy because she can pour things that are considered burdensome.
Chuck feels he lost Blair, but Serena supports Chuck to keep trying to Blair. Chuck finally decided to visit Blair at her residence after the party ended, but his arrival was denied by Dorotha who said that Blair was asleep. Chuck intend to stay and wait for Blair, but Chuck undoing his intentions when he saw Nate's suit was in the living room of Blair house.
Yes, Nate is at home of Blair to take and make sure Blair safely to home. Nate intends to return home, but Blair asks Nate to stay with her.
